The heckling incident by Hong Kong journalists on Pres. Noynoy Aquino at the APEC summit in Bali, Indonesia brought back painful memories of the bloody Luneta hostage in 2010, triggering another online skirmish between Filipino and Chinese hackers.

According to local site PinoyHackNews, Chinese hackers drew first blood after defacing the website of Barangay Bel-Air in Makati City on Thursday, Oct. 10. The Sino hackers allegedly belonged to the Sky Eye Team.

The attackers left a message that alluded to the refusal of Aquino to issue an apology for the death of the Hong Kong tourists ? a concern voiced out by the journalists in Bali.

Filipino hackers did not take the incident sitting down and struck back immediately by bringing down the site Hechi City Accounting Office of China, according to PinoyHackNews.

The local hackers were said to be from Pinoy Vendetta crew ?ThinkTwice?, which pointed out in its message it left on the Chinese said it acted only to protect Philippine sovereignty and did not want a full-scale cyberwar, PinoyHackNews said.
