UK-based e-security firm sets up tech support center in PH

IT security solutions company Sophos opened on Friday, Nov. 22, its local Shared Services Center (SSC) at the newly built Zuellig Glass Tower in Makati City.

The SSC will serve as an integral part of the company’s worldwide support organization and will provide services 24/7, complementing existing support centers in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, and the United States.

Sophos CEO Kris Hagerman personally attended the formal opening along with managing director for Asia Pacific Stuart Fisher. Information and Business Processing Association of the Philippines (IBAP) senior executive director Jillian ?Gigi? Virata also attended the formal unveiling ceremony.

Sophos, which is based in Abingdon, United Kingdom, currently has 17,000 customers worldwide.

The SSC is staffed with over 70 Filipino support engineers and customer care specialists, 15 of which are dedicated to the APAC region.
