AMD is targeting workstations used by broadcast firms with its newest graphics solution.
The firm said its AMD FirePro W-series professional graphics is designed to optimize the hardware that most broadcasting companies ?such as powerful workstations — use.
AMD said broadcast workstations featuring AMD graphics benefit from increased GPU memory sizes, multi-display 4K capabilities, driver quality, and certified ISV applications.
The company added that for instance, the new AMD FirePro W8100 card featured in the Dell Precision T7810 system ?raises the game for artists, delivering real-time 4K performance even with the most complex color-grades and comps applied.?
AMD said this level of price-performance is what artists ?demand.?
Aside from Dell, the graphics card will work well with other solutions from software and hardware providers including Adobe, Autodesk, RealVNC, The Foundry, Assimilate Scratch, and Apple Mac Pro, among others.
