TAIPEI — Computex, said to be Asia?s biggest hardware-related tech convention that is co-organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (Taitra) and Taipei Computer Association (TCA), is set to kick off on Tuesday, May 30, in this bustling Taiwanese capital.
Nearly 40,000 visitors, including 1,600 exhibitors and 300 media eyes, are expected to grace one of Taipei?s most anticipated annual events.
This year?s edition of Computex will focus on five themes: AI and Robotics, IoT Applications, Innovations and Startups, Business Solutions, and Gaming and VR. In the five-day confab, several gaming competitions and activities also await the guests, including OC World Cup, Computex Modding Challenge, and Zotac Cup Masters.
?Computex 2017 has attracted the world?s leading players and startup areas from IoT to AI as an all-around event indicative of how next-gen technologies will look like,? said Taitra president and CEO Walter Yeh.
Taitra is also working with the National Palace Museum in providing VR experience at Nangang Exhibition Center and Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall, two of the four exhibition centers housing the future look of the global ICT industry.
Also, Asia?s largest startup platform Innovex is expected to bring in 272 startups from different parts of the world to hear pitches and demos of startup ideas to raise the innovative momentum for software and hardware integration in the industry.
Computex 2017 will be held on May 30 to June 3, 2017.
