Motorola Philippines unwrapped two new additions to its Moto G Family ? the Moto G5s and Moto G5s Plus ? in a media launch held at Solaire Resort and Casino in Para?aque City.
Lenovo’s smartphone subsidiary also announced its six new retail stores in addition to Cyberzone areas of SM North Edsa, SM Megamall, SM Mall of Asia, and SM Batangas. Motorola has opened stores at SM Sta. Rosa, SM Dasmari?as, SM Calamba, SM Cebu, Gaisano Davao, and Glorietta.
The Moto G5s Plus is equipped with dual 13-megapixel rear cameras with a selective mode to enable users add blurred background effect to each photo. On the front side is the 8-megapixel wide-angle camera with LED flash and a panoramic mode for wider option.
To project a premium image, the Moto G5s Plus is dressed up with an all-metal unibody design embodying a 5.5-inch, 1920 x 1080 LCD screen. It comes in gold and black colors.
This handset houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 2.0GHz octa-core processor and 3,000mAh battery for a longer usage. Fueling it back to 100% only requires shorter time due to its TurboPower charger for quick charging.
Security-wise, the Moto G5s Plus uses a fingerprint reader from unlocking the phone to mobile payments.
“Motorola takes on the challenge of continuously innovating to bring only the best of what technology can offer,” said John Rojo, country manager for Lenovo Mobile Business Group and Motorola Mobility Philippines. “And now, with these newly launched smartphones, we strengthen our commitment to bring the premium features that matter the most.”
Meanwhile, Motorola Philippines is releasing a slightly smaller and cheaper version of the G5s Plus: the Moto G5s.
The 5.2-inch G5s has the same all-metal unibody design, throwing out a 1080p resolution on its LCD. It bears a 3,000mAh battery with quick charging feature, too.
This handset goes along with a 16-megapixel camera with phase detection focus to allow users capture photos at the right moment. It is equipped with a 5-megapixel wide-angle front camera, supported by an LED flash for darker environment. The G5s is powered by?1.4GHz octa-core processor.
The Moto G5s Plus (P14,999) and G5s (P10,999) will crash local stores starting October 20, 2017.
