Multinational tech company Lenovo has already made a lot of strides in 2019. It opened its first exclusive Legion Concept Store at SM City North EDSA and co-presented the GameCon 2019. Then, just recently, it presented its latest product lineup.

The 15-inch Legion Y740 laptop headlined the launch. According to Lenovo, the Intel-powered machine is able to provide a 56% higher frames per second (fps) and faster game turn times clocking at 38% increased speeds.

Meanwhile, its 4K video editing also shares a speed boost of up to 54%. This is due to the laptop packing heat in the form of with its NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card and 9th Generation Intel Core i7-9750H Processor.

When it comes to design, the Y740 steers away from the bulky and heavyweight form factors of usual gaming rigs. It weighs in at 2.2 kgs with its dark grey chassis entirely made of aluminum. For the visual experience, its FHD graphics renders more than 2 million pixels coupled with refresh rates of up to 144 Hz and brightness levels reaching 500 nits. The device is priced at P119,995.

The Legion lineup also includes the Lenovo IdeaPad L340 gaming laptop, which is deemed ideal for beginners. The L340 comes in two variants: with the Intel Core i7 and +128GB SSD version priced at P59,995 or the Intel Core i5 variant that costs P49,995. The gaming laptop is powered by an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card.

Aside from the two gaming laptops, the Legion offerings are completed by the 43.4-inch curved (1800R) display Legion Y44w gaming monitor with a 144Hz refresh rate.

All of these devices come with Lenovo’s 2-Year Premium Care Support which includes 24/7 support from Lenovo’s senior tech resources; Zero Tolerance to Dead Pixel offering repairs to displays that have even a single dead pixel; and a 2-year Onsite Warranty where Lenovo’s staff will go directly to the customer’s location for any of their troubleshooting needs.

“Lenovo’s solid performance reflects the continuous efforts on our strategies to put the customer at the core of our business. We focus on enabling them to thrive through the process of ‘intelligent transformation’ by continuing to provide innovative technology whose features can perform in a wide variety of tasks, whether for gaming, entertainment, work, and everything in between,” said Lenovo Philippines country general manager Michael Ngan.

He added, “We’ve been continuing our legacy of introducing innovative products. We’re actually the fastest growing gaming brand today in the market.”

Lenovo also announced that all Yoga and IdeaPad offerings will feature an Ultrabook form factor that will be less than 20 mm thick and weigh 2 kgs or less. This is a marked difference from the usual thick and bulky dimensions of previous notebook models.

The new Yoga S940, Yoga S730, IdeaPad S540, IdeaPad C340, and IdeaPad S145 complete Lenovo’s line of 16 Ultrabook models.

The Yoga S940, priced at P115,995, measures 12.2 mm and weighs 1.2 kg. The device is the first of its kind to feature a Contour Glass wrapping around the display. This is similar to the panel design cues of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+.

Accompanying the Yoga S940 is the Yoga S730, which is designed for frequent travelers. It weighs only 1.1 kg. The device is 11.9 mm thin but supported by a cooling system that pulls air through secondary vents hidden in the keyboard.

Meanwhile, the IdeaPad lineup consists of the IdeaPad S540 which is available in six variants. The premium variant will have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card and an Intel Core i7-8565U processor under the hood and will retail for P69,995. There are also multiple variants of the ultra-slim IdeaPad S340, the 2-in-1 convertible laptop IdeaPad C340, and the everyday laptop companion IdeaPad S145 also arriving, with higher variants that come pre-installed with a Microsoft Office Perpetual bundle worth P5,995.
