ACC 2025 | SG-based firm unveils AI-powered security platform for Web and API threats

Singapore-headquartered tech firm Conversant Solutions introduced a new cloud security platform aimed at protecting Web applications and application programming interfaces (APIs) from rising cyber threats during the Asian Carriers Conference (ACC) 2025 held in Mactan, Cebu.

The platform, called MaxiSafe, combines a content delivery network (CDN) with AI-driven protection tools to help organizations manage growing risks linked to cloud adoption.

Conversant country manager John Paul Pangilinan said many businesses remain unaware of their full API inventory, making them vulnerable to attacks. He added that artificial intelligence plays a dual role in cybersecurity, noting its use in both cyberattacks and defense.

“Bots already make up a large share of internet traffic, with both positive and negative effects on security, performance, and revenue,” Pangilinan said.

MaxiSafe uses three adaptive engines — AI-driven awareness, behavior-based, and goal-based — to detect and neutralize threats. It also features distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) mitigation, programmable threat responses, and a monitoring portal for real-time security insights.

The system has already been adopted by firms across e-commerce, digital media, and online gaming. According to Conversant, its MaxiSafe solution helps maintain strong defenses and consistent performance even during peak traffic events such as large-scale online sales.
