ManageEngine maps cybersecurity, compliance strategy for 2026

Enterprise IT management firm ManageEngine is strengthening its cybersecurity and regulatory compliance framework as it prepares for tighter data protection and security requirements across key markets leading into 2026.

The Zoho Corp.-owned company outlined its strategy during its recently concluded annual Partner Meet in Chennai, India, where it presented new security initiatives to international partners and industry stakeholders.

Central to the plan is a more proactive approach to regulatory compliance and risk management amid rising cyber threats and expanding privacy laws worldwide.

ManageEngine said it is prioritizing alignment with emerging regulations, including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act and data protection frameworks in Saudi Arabia and Dubai.

The company is also updating its internal systems to comply with revised international ISO standards.

In Southeast Asia, particularly in the Philippines, ManageEngine relies on in-house legal teams to review local regulations and ensure operational practices meet national data privacy and security requirements.

The company is also working toward certifications required in government and highly regulated sectors, including the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

To support compliance efforts, ManageEngine subjects its products to independent testing and certification processes.

The company said rapid changes in Asia’s cyber threat landscape have pushed it to invest in continuous research and faster incident response capabilities, particularly for cloud-based systems that must adapt to country-specific privacy rules.

Many of the firm’s clients, especially in banking and healthcare, face constraints such as limited cybersecurity budgets, skills shortages, and strict regulatory requirements, including advanced encryption standards.

In response, ManageEngine offers customized security solutions and detailed audit reports designed to meet sector-specific compliance needs.

Internally, the company has trained around 200 auditors to conduct independent compliance assessments. Its parent company, Zoho, also provides enterprise customers with training programs, self-paced certification courses, and technical support for system deployment and customization.

Amid a regional shortage of cybersecurity professionals, ManageEngine is increasingly using artificial intelligence to improve threat detection, investigation, and security operations.

The company said customization remains a core strategy to help organizations compensate for skills gaps and strengthen digital defenses.

While no single global authority governs cybersecurity and data privacy, ManageEngine noted that wider adoption of ISO standards and the cross-border impact of regulations such as the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) are gradually creating a more coordinated compliance environment.

The company emphasized that international cooperation and regulatory alignment will remain critical in addressing cybercrime and protecting digital infrastructure in the years ahead.
