BlackPink is first artist to surpass 100M YouTube subscribers

K-pop group BlackPink has become the first musical act to surpass 100 million subscribers on its official YouTube artist channel, a milestone that highlights the quartet’s global digital reach nearly a decade after its debut.

YouTube recognized the achievement by presenting the group with a custom Red Diamond Creator Award, a special distinction beyond the platform’s standard Diamond Play Button and reserved for creators that reach the 100-million-subscriber mark.

“There’s no denying it: the world — and especially the Philippines — is officially in BlackPink’s area,” the announcement read.

Data from YouTube Charts showed that the Philippines remained among the top contributors to the group’s viewership over the past year, helping drive roughly 3.3 billion annual views for the channel.

The group’s music videos, including “DDU-DU DDU-DU” and “Pink Venom,” continue to generate billions of cumulative views on the platform.

The milestone comes as BlackPink prepares for a group comeback following a period of solo projects and international touring.

The act is scheduled to release its third mini-album, [DEADLINE], on February 27, marking its first new group release since completing its last world tour, which included a return performance at the Philippine Arena.

Debuting in 2016, BlackPink — composed of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa — has since become one of the most followed music acts online, with YouTube serving as a primary platform for its global fan engagement.
