nubia unveils Neo 5 5G gaming phones, intros Neoverse platform

Gaming smartphone brand nubia has launched its Neoverse platform alongside the new Neo 5 5G series, as the company pushes to expand its presence in the growing mobile gaming market.

The Neo 5 lineup includes three models — the Neo 5 GT, Neo 5 Pro, and the entry-level Neo 5 — positioned for a range of users from competitive gamers to casual players.

The company said the devices are designed to make gaming-focused features more accessible.

The launch comes as mobile gaming continues to expand globally, with industry estimates placing the number of players at around 3 billion in 2025.

The Neo 5 series features gaming-oriented hardware such as shoulder trigger buttons, high-refresh-rate displays, and cooling systems aimed at sustained performance.

nubia said the devices support a 515Hz response rate through its NeoTriggers 5.0, along with displays reaching up to 144Hz and peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits. The phones also include AI-based gaming assistance features.

Prices for the devices range from P11,999 for the base Neo 5 5G to P17,990 for the Neo 5 GT.

“Nubia’s overarching vision is to deliver championship-level gaming experiences to everyone, combining top performance, innovative features, and accessible pricing,” the company said.

The company also introduced its Neoverse platform during the event, positioning it as part of a broader push to build a gaming-focused ecosystem.

Partnerships highlighted during the launch included collaborations with Tianlala and Geely.
