Whizkey Technology Services Inc. has entered the Philippine managed services market, offering businesses an alternative to building and maintaining large in-house IT teams.
The company was established by the owners of IT systems integrator Global Sapphire Filipinas Inc. (GSI), which has handled technology projects in the country for more than 20 years.
Whizkey will provide managed services covering data center modernization, virtualization, multi-site networking, cybersecurity, cloud systems, databases, and software solutions.
Citing its own research, the company said around 70% of businesses may be underinvesting in essential IT security tools despite their growing reliance on technology and increasing exposure to cyber threats.
Its services include system monitoring, governance, software patching, capacity planning, and incident preparedness. Businesses can choose between round-the-clock monitoring for critical systems and support limited to regular business hours.
Whizkey said its service model manages an organization’s IT environment as an interconnected system instead of addressing individual products or infrastructure components separately.
“The strength of Whizkey lies in its diverse and experienced team, which includes seasoned systems integrators, cloud architects, data engineers, database administrators, and cybersecurity professionals,” Whizkey president and CEO Mary Ann Palad said.
The company is targeting organizations that need specialized IT expertise but do not want to shoulder the cost of maintaining a full team of technology professionals internally.
