Ardent Networks has been officially designated as an Authorized Reseller of Starlink for Enterprise, marking a new chapter in its efforts to provide connectivity solutions across the Philippines.
Since the media launch of Starlink for Enterprise in December 2024, Ardent Networks has developed a growing network of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) agents to support the rollout of the satellite Internet service.
Unlike traditional geostationary satellites, Starlink’s constellation operates at approximately 550 kilometers above the Earth, enabling lower latency — around 25 milliseconds compared with over 600 milliseconds for conventional satellite systems.
Starlink’s satellite network consists of thousands of satellites orbiting the Earth in low orbit, providing near-global coverage.
The system is designed to deliver reliable connectivity even in remote areas where conventional Internet infrastructure is limited, offering organizations and communities a new option for maintaining communications.
A dedicated business unit has been formed to manage the Starlink partnership, led by Helen Cabias-Pantanilla, with Richard Lofranco serving as product manager.
The unit is tasked with coordinating sales, technical support, and implementation efforts to ensure clients can access and maximize the capabilities of Starlink’s service.
Analysts highlight that satellite-based Internet services have the potential to complement traditional broadband networks, particularly in areas where laying fiber-optic infrastructure is challenging or cost-prohibitive.
By integrating Starlink into its service offerings, Ardent Networks is aligning with global trends toward low-latency, wide-coverage connectivity solutions, which are increasingly important for both commercial and public sector applications.
