The Yield Guild Games (YGG) Play Summit will feature the Vibes Asian Championship on November 21 to 22, offering a total prize pool of around P1.1 million ($20,000).
The Trading Card Game (TCG) tournament, developed by Orange Cap Games, will be held in Manila and is open to 128 participants via public registration. Minors may join with parental consent.
Vibes, a TCG based on the Pudgy Penguins brand, is available in both physical and digital formats. It allows players to build “huddles” of penguin characters, action cards, and relics to compete strategically.
According to Mike Ovecka, head of YGG Esports, the event marks a milestone in promoting competitive Web3 gaming in the region.
The tournament will use a Swiss +1 format, with the top eight players advancing to the single-elimination finals. Players ranking within the top 32 will also receive cash prizes.
The competition will be supervised by Sashi Balakrishnan, a Level 3 “Magic: The Gathering” judge from Malaysia.
To ensure accessibility, players may use up to 12 proxy cards per deck.
YGG Pilipinas is also hosting Learn-to-Play sessions and community tournaments around Manila to introduce new players to Vibes through guided lessons and starter decks.
