The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has announced the expansion of its Partner Store Services in collaboration with Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc. (RRHI), allowing customers to withdraw cash for free at select Robinsons locations nationwide through the BPI app.
The partnership aims to enhance customer convenience by integrating financial services into high-traffic retail environments, allowing bank transactions to occur seamlessly while customers shop.
With the new service, BPI’s over six million app users can withdraw cash without the need to visit an ATM or bank, significantly improving access to their funds.
To utilize this service, customers need to generate a barcode through the BPI app and present it at participating Robinsons stores.
In addition to cash withdrawals, Robinsons locations will also facilitate BPI savings account openings, product applications, and withdrawal transactions, with plans to phase in deposit acceptance in the future.
Currently, the service is available at over 300 RRHI food category stores, which include Robinsons Easymart, Robinsons Supermarket, No Brand, The Marketplace, and Shopwise, alongside Robinsons Department Store and Toys ’R’ Us. There are plans to onboard additional locations soon.
BPI president and CEO TG Limcaoco highlighted the intent behind this collaboration, stating, “True convenience means thinking about what our customers need. The added advantage here is simple — they don’t have to make an extra trip just to withdraw cash. They can do it while they are doing their groceries or shopping at the department store. That’s the kind of seamless experience we aim for.”
