Online gambling operator DigiPlus Interactive Corp. reported a net income of ₱12.6 billion in 2025, flat year-on-year, as the company sustained revenue growth amid a volatile operating environment for the gambling industry.
Total revenues rose 12% to ₱84.2 billion from ₱75.2 billion in 2024, while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) increased 2% to ₱14.2 billion. The company also remitted ₱34.6 billion in taxes and regulatory fees.
Operations slowed in the third quarter following the delinking of e-wallet in-app access, but performance rebounded in the fourth quarter. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, net income jumped 43% while EBITDA grew 52%, which the company attributed to cost controls and operational adjustments.
“DigiPlus delivered a resilient performance in 2025, reflecting the strength of our platforms and the trust of our users,” said DigiPlus chairman Eusebio Tanco.
“We remain optimistic about our growth trajectory and are confident in our ability to continue innovating responsibly while creating long-term value.”
Separately, DigiPlus disclosed a move to expand into land-based gambling through a strategic investment. In November 2025, the company subscribed to HK$1.6 billion (about ₱12 billion) in convertible notes issued by International Entertainment Corp., which operates the Pagcor-licensed New Coast Hotel Manila. The deal gives DigiPlus an option to acquire a 53.89% stake.
The expansion comes as the company navigates both regulatory pressure at home and a challenging overseas push.
Earlier in 2025, DigiPlus moved to enter the Brazilian market even as it faced mounting criticism in the Philippines over the social impact of online gambling.
However, the company halted its Brazil operations just weeks after a September soft launch, saying it would refine its product to better match local preferences.
The firm said the pause would allow it to “come back stronger” with a more culturally tailored offering, with a relaunch targeted in early 2026.
Despite the setback, DigiPlus has continued to position Brazil — one of the world’s fastest-growing online gambling markets — as a key part of its long-term international expansion strategy.
