Team Northern Nostra Kings emerged as champions of Laban ng HOKbo Season 2 after defeating Mindanao Iron Creed, 3–1, in the grand finals of the Honor of Kings Philippines tournament held April 19 at Dogzilla Studio.
Northern Nostra Kings controlled most of the best-of-five series, with Qwertydabi earning MVP honors in the opening game, while H2WO and Yawi delivered key performances in Games 2 and 4 to secure the title.
Mindanao Iron Creed reached the finals through a lower-bracket run but fell short in the bruising match.
Team captain Naser “Akosi Dogie” Mollazehi said the ₱100,000 prize would be given to a member of their community, highlighting the team’s grassroots focus.
The three-day tournament featured a mix of content creators and community players, reflecting what organizers described as a push toward a more inclusive esports setup.
Creators including Renejay “Renejay” Barcarse and John Paul “H2WO” Salonga led teams composed partly of amateur players, while Kiel “Oheb” Soriano served as commissioner.
Fans attended the event in person, while online viewership also contributed to the tournament’s reach, underscoring the growing role of community-driven competitions in the local esports scene.
