The Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) has flagged 12 Facebook pages and accounts for allegedly promoting unregulated online gambling websites, including several with millions of followers.
The accounts were included in the seventh and final batch of the agency’s advisory identifying social media influencers and pages allegedly endorsing illegal gambling platforms.
The largest account listed was Never Grow Old 2.0, which the CICC said had six million followers. It was followed by Kanene in Florida with 5.6 million followers, Boss Nethjan and Brex TV 2.0 with 3.2 million each, and Magda with 1.9 million.
Other accounts named were Boss Owa 2.0, Parengtol 5.0, Madam Hannie, Randy Perez Calderon, Kavendor V.2, Daddy JC 4.0 and Leonardo Corpuz. Their reported follower counts ranged from 203,000 to 1.5 million.
According to the CICC, the accounts promoted gambling sites including 777ny.com, leopardaga.com, sealjl.net, fbb89.com, alicornvip.com, worldcupph.ph, whalejl.fun, santollucky.ph, wolfkingx.com, 78go.com and jllws.com.
The agency said the promotion of unregulated online gambling may violate Presidential Decree No. 1602, as amended by Republic Act No. 9287, as well as Republic Act No. 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 when offenses are committed through information and communications technology.
“Kung sakaling makakita ng mga account na patuloy na nagpo-promote ng illegal online gambling websites, mangyaring ipagbigay-alam sa CICC Hotline 1326,” the agency said.
The CICC urged the public to report accounts that continue to advertise illegal online gambling websites through its 1326 hotline.
