Energy storage technology firm Pylontech has launched its Fidus Battery Max in the Philippines, introducing a scalable battery system aimed at residential and other energy storage applications.
The launch, held on Sept. 17 at Conrad Manila in partnership with local solar energy company IAN Solar Energy Corp., marked Pylontech’s first product launch in the country.
The Fidus platform is designed for flexible system configurations and features IP65 protection, C5-M anti-corrosion protection, natural cooling, and CAN/RS485 communications.
Depending on the model, the battery series also supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi monitoring and operation under extended environmental conditions.
The company is positioning the system for users looking to store excess electricity generated by renewable energy sources such as solar panels, provide backup power, and manage electricity consumption.
Simon Tao of Pylontech presented the battery system during the Manila launch, discussing its design, capabilities, and possible applications.
Pylontech Southeast Asia sales director Lance Sun and IAN Solar Philippines country manager Sam Daguro formally unveiled the Fidus Battery Max during the event.
The launch comes as battery energy storage takes on a larger role in renewable energy systems, allowing electricity generated by solar and other intermittent sources to be stored for later use rather than consumed immediately.
Pylontech said the technology can be used by households and businesses seeking to increase their use of self-generated solar power and maintain backup capacity during interruptions.
The company, established in 2009, develops battery energy storage products for residential, commercial, industrial, and other applications. Its products are deployed in more than 90 countries and regions.
IAN Solar, meanwhile, supplies solar panels, batteries, inverters, and related renewable energy equipment in the Philippines and distributes Pylontech energy storage systems.
The companies said the Fidus Battery Max expands Pylontech’s energy storage portfolio in the Philippine market as demand grows for systems that can store renewable electricity and provide backup power.
