Singapore-headquartered financial-crime technology company Tookitaki has named Filipino executive Isabel Ridad as chief executive officer as founder Abhishek Chatterjee moves to the role of executive chairman and chair of the board.
The leadership change puts Ridad, currently Tookitaki’s president, in charge of the company’s executive and operational functions as it expands its financial-crime technology business across Asia Pacific and other markets.
Ridad has been overseeing the company’s growth, commercial operations, finance, and legal functions. As CEO, she will assume full responsibility for the day-to-day business.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to lead Tookitaki as CEO and build on the foundation that Abhishek, Jeeta and the wider team have created,” Ridad said.
“My priority will be disciplined execution: serving our customers, supporting our teams and scaling the business. I look forward to working closely with Abhishek and the team as we take Tookitaki into this new chapter.”
Tookitaki develops technology used by banks and fintech companies for anti-money laundering, fraud prevention, and customer risk management.
Its technology includes the Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) Ecosystem and FinCense, an AI-native platform designed to identify and respond to emerging financial-crime risks.
The company said its systems monitor more than 100 billion transactions and 200 million customer accounts across multiple Asian markets.
Chatterjee, who founded Tookitaki, will shift his focus to the company’s overall direction, artificial intelligence strategy, board management, and relationships with major clients and regulators.
“Isabel already leads core parts of our business and brings the judgement, operating discipline and deep company knowledge Tookitaki needs as it scales,” Chatterjee said.
“I look forward to focusing my time on overall direction, AI strategy, board management, and our most important client and regulator relationships — and to working closely with Isabel as she leads the business day to day.”
Tookitaki was founded in Singapore and provides financial-crime compliance technology to banks and fintech companies in the region.
