The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) is soliciting the support of lawmakers after its proposed budget for National Broadband Program was trimmed from P18 billion to P902 million.

Gilbert Sosa, who is currently deployed in Malacanang as assistant secretary at the Office of the President, is expected to be appointed as the executive director of the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordination Center (CICC).
