Motorcycle taxi app “Angkas” has secured a 72-hour Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) against the government policy of limiting the number of Angkas bikers to 10,000 in Manila and 3,000 in Cebu.
The agency said it respects the pronouncement of Mayor Isko Moreno to ban e-tricycles in Manila, as it is within the purview of the city to grant franchise for the operation of tricycles in its area of jurisdiction.
DOTr secretary Arthur Tugade has directed the creation of the body amid the temporary restraining order (TRO) issued by the Supreme Court earlier this month to stop the operations of motorcycle ride-hailing firm Angkas.
