Google has rolled out Ask Maps in the Philippines, giving users a conversational way to find places, plan routes, and check road conditions through the Google Maps app.

For two decades, it has been helping people around the globe explore new places, connect with their communities, and navigate the world with ease.

The recent batch of upgrades backed by AI allows Google Maps to offer an Immersive View for routes, revamp its Google Search, promote sustainability with information targeted towards Electric Vehicle (EV) users, as well as release several other expansions.

Google, in collaboration with the DOTr and the DOH, has added locally relevant information onto its Maps as part of response efforts to help in the fight against Covid-19.

Previously, motorbike riders would often do a mental calculation to estimate their arrival times based on a combination of walking and driving routes.
