Under Senate Bill No. 72 or the proposed "Philippine Computer Programming Education Act", Sen. Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel III proposed that computer programming be taught beginning Grade 4.
During the virtual meeting last December 28, 2020, Sen. Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel III said SpaceX vice president for satellite government affairs Patricia Cooper mentioned the possibility of Starlink covering the Philippines by the third quarter of 2021.
Sen. Aquilino Pimentel III is seeking to penalize private individuals who are not authorized to own and operate drones either for recreational purposes or for commercial use.
Sen. Koko Pimentel said "it is the DICT's responsibility" to reconcile the issues and "come up guidelines that will incentivize the entry of a new telco player while protecting the interests of consumers."
The lawmaker said that many regular TNVS users regularly compare the rates of Uber and Grab before booking a ride -- an option that will no longer be available to commuters when Grab becomes the sole TNVS provider come April 9.
