Equally improving is the level of awareness of Filipinos on news or information about science and technology (S&T) that increased to 23% in 2020 from 18% in 2019.
In a decade, the country is expected to have 380 scientists, engineers, and researchers for every one million Filipinos, the suggested benchmark of the Unesco, a science and technology official said.
The agency announced the vacancies to further implement and complete the eGovernment Masterplan (eGMP) and the Medium Term ICT Harmonization Initiative (Mithi). Among the essential e-government projects to be implemented by the project managers are those under the Integrated Government Philippines (iGovPhil) project, which aims to interconnect government agencies and automate processes for faster and more efficient public service.
During the ceremony, Biyo also announced availability of new scholarship slots as mandated by Republic Act 10612 or also known as the ?Expanded Scholarship Act of 2013.?
