With the PayMaya mobile wallet app, users can send money from the comfort of their homes to almost anyone in the Philippines through its Smart Padala agent network.
PayMaya said Smart Padala agents in select areas around the country are now equipped with QR codes to encash funds for beneficiaries of the second tranche of the DSWD’s Social Amelioration Program (SAP).
PayMaya said it now allows its users to send money directly to more than 30,000 Smart Padala centers nationwide -- even without having to step out of the house during the lockdown period.
Smart Padala by PayMaya, which is touted as the country’s largest mobile domestic remittance network, is intensifying its push to provide more digital financial services to the countryside as it launches its flagship stores that act as “digital hubs” across the country.
Smart Padala now serves its customers with a growing suite of digital services that includes bills payment, Add Money to PayMaya accounts, loans disbursement, and QR payments.
Smart Padala, the remittance service of telco firm Smart Communications, has launched Smart Padala PickUp Anywhere, which allows consumers to send remittances to any mobile phone number, no matter the mobile telecom provider.
