ePLDT, the ICT subsidiary of PLDT, has officially established VITRO Inc. to serve as its dedicated data center operations company to the address the demands of hyperscalers and enterprises.
ePLDT Vitro’s 11th data center — Vitro Sta. Rosa — will rise in what is said to be the country’s largest DC campus by far -- a five-hectare PLDT property in the industrial city of Sta. Rosa.
The transformation programs are set to drive sustainability for the two data centers and likewise make them at par with global data center standards and best practices to cater to the demand of the international market.
The Vitro Clark Data Center is a massive 7,000-square meter facility, which is also reportedly the first stand-alone disaster recovery (DR) facility in North Luzon.
Located in Mandaue City, the P1-billion Vitro Data Center will serve the increased data and ICT needs of not just the city?s 10,000 industrial and commercial businesses but also the whole Cebu province.
PLDT, through its Alpha Enterprise group, said it launched the cloud-based service to provide call center operators a ?cost-effective solution for software licensing and managed ICT."
