Presently, Aquino said several government agencies -- Department of Science and Technology (DOST), the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) - focused on the issue of Internet in the country.
Bayan Muna party-list representative Neri Colmenares has urged the National Telecommunications Commission to order mobile operators to include interest payments in their refund to subscribers. He also said the NTC should increase the fine it imposed on the telcos for their refusal to implement the NTC decision to lower SMS rates by P0.20 since 2011.
