Swedish appliance manufacturer Electrolux has introduced in the Philippines its latest inverter refrigerator series called NutriFresh, which can purportedly preserve the freshness of food for up to a week.
Company executives led by Electrolux Philippines general manager Nelson Cabanban and country marketing manager Andrea Pionilla led the recent launch of the energy-efficient products in Makati City.
“The refrigerators save energy through the inverter technology as verified by an independent laboratory,” said Cabanban.
The NutriFresh inverter refrigerators could provide 37-percent savings in monthly electricity cost and has ability to “keep food market-fresh for up to seven days.”
Pionilla said that if a family is spending P1,000 a month on the electricity of a refrigerator, an Electrolux inverted refrigerator could reduce that bill to P630 a month — or a 37-percent reduction of electricity cost.
The lady executive also cited the NutriFresh refrigerator?s design that keeps food fresh for a week, which is important when going to the market everyday is not possible.
“More and more families are looking for ways to eat healthier and having fresh ingredients at home. Unfortunately, our lifestyle is so fast-paced and busy now that it is not always possible to go to the market for fresh produce every few days,” she said.
“Electrolux understands this concern and NutriFresh inverter refrigerators are designed to answer this need,” said Pionilla.
The refrigerators come with a host of features designed to keep food, particularly fruits and vegetables, fresh.
One of these features is its FreshShield Crisper with a unique tight seal to keep temperatures stable, minimize water loss, and provide higher humidity, allowing fruits and vegetables to remain fresh for up to seven days.
This works through what is dubbed the unique Fresh Taste Deodorizer feature that works in tandem to attract and absorb stray odors and eliminates 99.8 percent of bacteria, the company said.
Electrolux Philippines is offering various models such as the two-door model for small families and single residents. Larger families may prefer the three-door model. There is also the French door model, which is the biggest in the series.
Pionilla said aside from the refrigerators, Electrolux also has the new Ultimate Care Washing Machines that are also equipped with inverter technology that allows for more efficiency. “We also have in the pipeline water heaters and gas ranges,” she added.
