A little more than a year after its official launching in December 2015, mobile shopping app Shopee continues its rapid climb through the rankings to now claim the No. 2 spot in the shopping category for both the Apple App Store and Google Play in the Philippines.
The number one mobile marketplace in Southeast Asia and Taiwan, Shopee is also the first mobile shopping platform to offer buyers and sellers free shipping and cash-on-delivery (CDO) paying option in the Philippines.
Now, the mobile platform is turning its attention to its mobiles and gadgets portfolio, aiming to further grow this category which has been experiencing strong demand the past few months.
At a recent media event held at Makati Shangri-la Hotel’s Sage Bar, Shopee announced its latest promo for its mobiles and gadgets selection this March, which offers discounts of up to 85% on mobile phones, smartwatches, virtual reality gears, powerbanks, USB cables, and others.
Dubbed “March Madness,” the month-long promo will feature campaigns such as Mobile Mania with the latest phones and Shopee Exclusives with deals on gadgets and accessories, among others.
Several brands and shops like MemoXpress, Torque, IntoGadgets, X-Mini, Bavin, and My Kronoz have joined the Shopee bandwagon to widen the range of techie products available to shoppers, especially those who are planning to buy any of these items as graduation gifts or as their new must-have for summer.
“Our main commitment has always been to provide the best experience to our buyers and sellers,” said Shopee’s head of commercial business Macy Castillo.
”We have been working closely with our sellers to make sure we offer great value for the wide selection of products our buyers want, especially as they search for gifts for new graduates or the latest tech to bring to their summer travels,” she added.
“March Madness” will also have product launches, gifts, games, and other surprises for the Shopee community via the app and its social media channels from March 1-17, 2017.
