Huawei Philippines has brought to the country its upgraded P-series units — the Leica-branded P10 and P10 Plus flagship smartphones.
Huawei is promoting the P10 and P10 Plus as a “game-changer in the world of smartphone photography” as both phones are armed with the Leica’s dual-camera system.
Huawei Philippines executives Nino Carandang and Corinne Bacani led the launch of the new smartphones last April 7 at the Shutter Cafe in Quezon City.
Carandang emphasized that the P10?s camera was not just designed by the German camera icon but actually “co-engineered with Leica Camera AG.”
Bacani said the company has been accepting pre-orders since April 6 and up to April 20, with the first batch of the new Huawei flagship phones to ship starting on April 15. She said the P10 will retail for P28,990 and the bigger P10 Plus at P36,990.
The first 500 customers to make pre-order of either P10 or P10 Plus stand to receive an exclusive Huawei P10 travel kit and a 10-percent Leica Store Philippines discount voucher.
Specifications-wise, here are some of what users can expect from Huawei?s flagship phones: The P10 has 5.1″ FHD display, P10 Plus has WQHD, bigger at 5.5″. Both screens are protected from scratch by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
On the camera side, P10 and P10 Plus are both equipped with 8MP, F/1.9 for the front, and Leica dual-camera 2.0 at the back. Both are also NFC-supported.
P10 has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, while the P10 Plus has two versions: 4GB RAM and 64GB storage and the other 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
As for the battery, P10 is powered by 3200 mAh with Huawei SuperCharge, while the P10 Plus runs on 3750 mAh also with Huawei SuperCharge. The two Huawei flagships have the same CPU, the Kirin 960 (64-bit) octa-core and have also a similar GPU — Mali-G71 MP8.
The OS is Android 7.0 Nougat and comes in various colors — which many not be all available at the same time — such as Ceramic White, Dazzling Blue, Dazzling Gold, Graphite Black, Mystic Silver, Rose Gold, and Greenery.
