Vivo debuts special edition smartphone for 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia

Chinese smartphone company Vivo is rolling out a special edition handset for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia as an official sponsor of FIFA World Cup. A brief ceremony was held ahead of the Draw for the handover of the customized official smartphone of the tournament.


The Draw attracted much attention since it impacts the performance of each participating team at the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia.

There are 32 teams booked their places at the tournament, and the Final Draw was held on Dec. 1 at the State Kremlin Palace in Moscow.

Vivo sees the partnership with FIFA as one of many to help the company reach more people globally especially the fans of large sporting events.

In October, Vivo announced its expansion plan into new markets including Taiwan, Singapore and Russia.
