PRC region 8 director German Palabyab said the PRC has procured a new ID printing system that is designed to support the agency?s same-day issuance of professional ID cards.

The agency is hoping roll out the new system sometime in June in time for its 41st anniversary.

Prior to 2012, it took the PRC months to issue and release ID cards because the printing of all cards were done in the PRC central office in Manila.

The implementation of the online licensure examination, registration, and information system in June of that year allowed the regional offices to print the PRC cards locally. This shortened the process by at least three weeks, Palabyab said.

The PRC will set up a service booth at the jobs fair spearheaded by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) at the Saint Paul School of Business and Law.

Palabyab said agency will also join the other members of DOLE Regional Coordinating Council, the Leyte Chamber of Commerce and Industry, LGUs? and other employers in the region in a commemorative program to be conducted in Ormoc City. — PIA 8
