Epson PH unveils 14 new products in 4 business categories

Epson Philippines Corporation (EPC) recently celebrated its achievements as the top brand in three different categories, including projectors, inkjet printers, and dot-matrix printers during the company?s Fusion media activity held recently in Sumilon Island in Oslob, Cebu.

A highlight of the three-day event was a preview of what the public can expect from Epson for the rest of the year, including new product offerings and the latest core technology applications.

This year, Epson unveiled 14 new products from four different categories including: visual instruments (VI)/projectors, inkjet printers, commercial & industrial (C&I) and, business systems.

In the projector category, Epson has rolled out the seven models of the EB-500 Series. According to the company, the new units are the world?s first 3LCD, touch-enabled, interactive projectors.

For the inkjet printer category, Epson has expanded the line-up of its successful Epson L-Series ink tank system printers. Among the new models are:

? Epson L120 — the affordable document printer with super high ink capacity
? Epson L555 — Ink tank multi-function printer (MFP) with Fax, auto document feeder (ADF) and wireless printing capability
? Epson L13000- Super high ink capacity A3 printer with borderless printing

For commercial and industrial printers, the Japan tech giant also introduced in the local market the following new units:

? Epson SureColor F7170 — Dye-sublimation transfer printers for final fabric production
? Epson UltraChrome DS Ink — all new dye sublimation ink development by Epson

Lastly, the company also fortified its offerings in the POS and business system printers. Its new POS system are designed for running businesses on the cloud

During the event, Epson also announced the latest Future Source Consulting research results that showed the leading market share in the projector category in the Philippines. The company said it captured 31.84-percent market share in the first quarter of 2014.

At the same time, Epson said it remained the undisputed leader in the dot-matrix printer category, with a market share of 97 percent. The latest data showed an increase from the previous year?s market share of 90.3 percent among all dot-matrix manufacturers selling in the Philippines.
