The provincial government of Pampanga recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Negros Oriental for partnership in the Integrated Taxation Management (iTax) system.
?This aims to improve the tax assessment and collection of the two provinces specifically in real property tax, business tax, and other local fees in order for them to have increased revenues,? the Pampanga Provincial Information Office (PIO) disclosed.
Under the MOA, Negros Oriental will extend the use of its iTax system to Pampanga for free until December 31, 2014.
Moreover, it will provide trainings to the information technology personnel and end-users of Pampanga and will likewise assign an iTax technical personnel.
?For its part, Pampanga shall provide the necessary hardware for the use of the iTax system and shall cover the transportation, accommodation, meals and other expenses of the Negros Oriental representatives during the conduct of trainings and assistance,? the PIO added. — PIA
