Executives of InfoStorage and Hitachi recently gathered customers at the Shangri-La hotel in Makati City and conducted a live demo of the application on the new Hitachi computing box ? the Compute Blade (CB) 2000.

InfoStorage vice president for sales and marketing Anthony Agustin Jr. said Oracle Linux is the only operating system to offer zero-downtime updates and the only vendor in the industry that offers a complete Linux-based solution stack such as applications, middleware, database, management tools, operating system and hardware, along with a single point of support.

Agustin said Oracle VM is a free, next-generation server virtualization and management solution that makes enterprise applications easier to deploy, manage, and support.

As for the Hitachi CB 2000, it integrates network, power and server resources into a single, space-efficient, flexible solution.

“We are very excited to bring this innovative solution to the Philippine market,” Agustin said. “With InfoStorage’s experience in understanding the IT market, we could bring awareness and educate companies of the benefits of complete ready to deploy solutions and customer needs.”

Agustin its collaboration with tech vendors provides ?outstanding? results to its customers such as enabling 24/7 business continuity and high-availability.

He said InfoStorage, which is as a Gold Partner of Oracle, has done its R&D and series of tests of the product since last year and expects it to be efficient.

“We’re confident. This has never been done. It presents a unique value proposition to our customer because other vendors won’t be able to do it. We coupled our Oracle expertise with expertise in Hitachi and then we give that to our customers,” he said.
