Chinese smartphone maker Oppo, which is responsible for introducing innovations such the 4.85-mm thin R5 and the N3?s swivel camera, has released photos of a possible new unit with a unique edgeless display.
Following a duo of leaked images over a week ago, a video demonstrating the Oppo unit in action has come out. While the profile of the unit remains unknown (including price and availability), it?s clear in the video that the anonymous phone comes with an edge-to-edge display.
The company said in a statement said that While the images could be fake, the video proves that the smartphone is a legitimate prototype, at the very least. “It may be too early to draw any conclusions for now, but one thing seems almost certain — the future phone we?ve been seeing in form of concept art is well on its way to becoming real,” it said.
