The local office of Korean tech titan Samsung has lifted the curtains on the new Samsung NX500, a mirrorless camera that shares the specifications of its acclaimed precursor, the Samsung NX1.
But the NX500?s new DRIME5 processing power is 2.8 times faster than its predecessor, producing superior color reproduction and improved noise reduction resulting in enhanced JPEG image quality.
It?s 28 megapixel APS-C sensor produces vivid and crisp images with full details. Its 16-50mm power zoom lens and high ISO performance, which can handle up to an ISO of 25,600, are ideal for low light situations and printing clear physical copies of the photos.
Its new processor also allows users to take 4K Ultra High Definition videos, with visibly higher quality than conventional Full HD videos, bringing true-to-life clarity and colors to videos.
One of the main features of the NX500 is the all-new hybrid Autofocus, a sensor with on-surface phase detection for best AF speed improvement on speed and accuracy at .055s target and is designed to support a maximum of 205 AF Phase Detect points.
This feature, along with the 9 FPS continuous drive, allows photographers to capture fast-moving action, wherever it is in the photo.
It also has an AMOLED touchscreen that sets itself apart from other touchscreen cameras with its improved accuracy, responsive touch functionality that makes moving scenes easier to shoot, and its ability to produce high quality photos of on-the-go subjects.
The Auto Self Shot comes with a 3-inch Touch Tilt & Flip Up that can rotate up to 180 degrees. This feature is also ideal for outdoor photo shoots as tilting can help avoid sun glares and reflections.
It also has an AutoShot feature and Slanted Shutter, which makes capturing moments trouble-free. Meanwhile, the smile and wink detector enables the camera to automatically shoot once it detects a wink or a smile from the subject.
Available in black, white, and brown, the improved exterior of the NX500 features a compact and slim size with curves fitting in one?s hand.
