The campaign website of presidential candidate Grace Poe was discovered hacked at around noon on Wednesday, April 27. The site’s administrator, however, was able to remove the inserted text from the site immediately.
A certain cracker going under the handle “~skw4t3r” left a message at http://gracepoe.ph/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/sk.txt, with “greets” to BloodSecurity and Anonymous Philippines.
A possible entry point for the hacking was an unupdated version of WordPress on the website.
Grace Poe is one of the candidates with the strongest ICT policies in her campaign platform. She supports the creation of a Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), a National Broadband Plan (NBN), and the passage of the Magna Carta on Philippine Internet Freedom (MCPIF).
