Tech outsourcing giant Accenture recently sealed a partnership with Asia Pacific College (APC) to upgrade the IT instruction for senior high school students and equip them for a digital career.

Under the agreement, Accenture will help update and expand the Java curriculum of Grade 11 and Grade 12 students.
The new curriculum will include: 11 new subjects covering current industry practices and standards; five special sessions on New IT ? Cloud, Platform-as-a-Service, Digital Interactive Platform, Mobile Platform and DevOps; and 600 hours of end-to-end project development with Accenture experts in a corporate setting.
Accenture will also train the APC-selected faculty who will teach the additional Java topics.
The partnership is aimed at ensuring that STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) courses remain attractive and popular choices for today?s youth, Accenture said.
