Executives of the two firms led by Mike Camahort, president and COO of LBC Express, and Virender Aggarwal, CEO of Ramco Systems, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on December 14 in Pasay City.

“As part of the agreement, LBC Express will implement Ramco HCM (human capital management) integrated with Global Payroll across its global enterprise covering associates in more than 30 countries,” LBC said in a statement.

LBC has over 8,000 employees worldwide.

Covered by the implementation are modules for core HR, time and attendance, leave management, employee self-service, and recruitment.

LBC?s migration to a unified web-based application is expected to empower the firm’s HR team to concentrate on more strategic HR initiatives. Aspects concerning employee self-service, which was done manually before, will now be automated, the company said.

Meanwhile, employees will be able to get real-time access to data via SMS (short messaging system) chat, mail transactions, chatbot, and other Ramco services covered by the MOA.

Jhayner V. Bhufi, chief people executive of LBC Express, cited the disruptive change in the company introduced through Ramco’s software solution.

“In a service-centric atmosphere, our associates (employees) play a pivotal role in ensuring we deliver on our commitment to customers. We wanted a simplified but operationally rich HR software that can address our complete HR needs,” he said.

The Ramco HCM, added Bhufi, because of its innovative features, matches what LBC Express was looking for in a software for managing HR with its innovative offerings around HUB, Mail It, Chatbots and Mobility.

Expected from the application are the reduction — substantially — of employee support cost, time, and effort. “We look forward to leveraging the application in creating a highly engaged and empowered workforce,” he said.

Bhufi, in an interview, explained that with the Ramco HCM, employees of LBC Express will have a better way of managing their time, considering that over 90 percent of them are in the frontlines.

Applying for loan, asking for their status, sending email, filing for leave, getting approval for a dispatch/delivery, among others, can now be done via the new software solution. The Ramco solution also has built-in time and attendance and complies with statutory and tax regulations in over 35 countries.

Ramco CEO Virender Aggarwal noted the positive response of local companies to his organization’s foray into the domestic market.

“Our recent entry into the Philippines market has started yielding significant results. With rapid economic growth, the Philippines has been showing greater adoption for innovative technology,” said Aggarwal, noting that intuitive features like chatbots and mobility have been receiving huge interest.

He said that, so far, in their brief presence in the country, they already have 10 companies as clients, with LBC now officially added to the list.

Aggarwal said having “LBC Express to our growing Filipino clientele further strengthens our footprints in the region paving the way for major inroads into the market.”
