Oppo paints F3 black, adds A57 to its selfie portfolio

Chinese smartphone company Oppo revealed two handsets — the A57 and a matte black F3 — in an intimate launch held at I’m Hotel in Makati last June 13, 2017.

Carrying the same specs, Black will be the F3?s third suit along with Gold and Rose Gold, and will hit the stores nationwide on June 16 with a back-to-school season sale.

Also, the F3 Black was accompanied by the Oppo A57, a neophyte to the A-series priced at P11,990. The selfie-centric handset fronts a 16-megapixel camera and is backed by a Sony IMX258-sensored rear camera. These specs basically catch up today’s growing trend of self portraits via mobile phones.

The A57 tightens up the security by equipping the handset with a flagship-level solid-state fingerprint scanner with a hydrophobic zirconium surface — a technology that bypasses the finger’s moist when unlocking the phone. This 5.2-incher is also protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and packs 1.4GHz Snapdragon 435 Octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, and 2900mAh battery. Its triple-slot tray can accommodate up to two SIM cards and a dedicated space for microSD card, too.
