Vivo adds selfie-centric Y69 smartphone to mid-range roster

Chinese smartphone firm Vivo has announced the arrival of Y69 in the Philippines ? a selfie-centric handset designed to keep up with today’s selfie culture.

The Vivo Y69 is armed with a 16-megapixel front camera and a “Moonlight” LED flash to imitate moonlight glow in selfie photos. The front camera can also capture wider angle photos using its Panoramic effect capability. It is paired with a 13-megapixel rear camera boasting the Live Photo feature and F/2.0 aperture.

Featuring Smart Slip 3.0, the Vivo Y69 enables users to run two apps at the same time by the three-finger swipe gesture. This feature supports Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp, Line, BBM, WeChat, Viber, built-in Messages and Videos, Play Movies and TV, MX Player, and VCL for Android.

The Andriod Nougat-based handset allows users to split the professional interactions from your personal ones through a built-in software called the “App Clone.” In this app, users are allowed to create multiple accounts in various social media apps that originally limits one personal account at a time.

Weighing at 162.8g, the Vivo Y69 boasts a 2.0 second fingerprint scanner integrated in the main home button. It also runs on a MediaTek MT6570 SoC processor with a speed of 1.5Ghz backed up by a 3GB RAM.?This 5.5-incher has a triple-slot tray supporting an expansion for its 32GB internal storage while displaying a 1280 x 720 HD resolution on a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

The Vivo Y69 carries a P10,990 price tag and is available now in local stores.
