On Saturday, September 16, Pinaglabanan Church ? which is located in San Juan City, Metro Manila ? became one of the hottest topics on Twitter. Then again, it wasn’t exactly the church itself that was getting the media coverage.
It just to happened that former senator Jinggoy Estrada ? son of former President Joseph “Erap” Estrada ? walked free after he posted P1.33-million bail for his case. It may be recalled that Jinggoy was detained at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center in Camp Crame in June 2014 in connection with his alleged involvement in the pork barrel scam that put the spotlight on Janet Lim Napoles.

Apparently, there was a thanksgiving mass for Jinggoy at the Pinaglabanan Church. San Juan City, of course, is considered his family’s bailiwick. Pinoys on Twitter had mixed reactions over Jinggoy’s release.
