Jessel Fesarit, Banbros product manager, told Newsbytes.PH in an interview that a number of Filipinos, especially millennials, are getting exposed to technologies such as robotics and artificial intelligence. Since the country?s population is dominated by young people, Fesarit said UBTech robots will have a big captive market.

?We are bullish on the prospects of UBTech products in the country because Filipinos are very receptive to these technologies,? she said. ?We introduced an intelligent robot that can assist and help the people.?

UBTech?s main product is the Alpha 1 Pro consumer robot, which is a programmable humanoid robot that can be used for education and entertainment.

Fesarit said Alpha 1 is a perfect companion for children for their playtime activities. She said its 3D programming visual programming software and PRP (pose, record, play) function are controlled in one app. ?Alpha1 Pro?s personality and his life-like human movements make him a member of the family,? Fesarit noted.

Moreover, Fesarit said Alpha 1 Pro is a versatile machine because it has the capability to mimic all human movements such as pushups, choreograph and even execute kung fu moves. With its servo technology, Fesarit said the Alpha 1 Pro can rotate at a given speed, enabling him to perform precise movements.

She said an owner can even customize the movements of the Alpha 1 through the software on Windows and Mac operating systems.

?You can add a music or a voice clip. Once finished, transfer the sequence on the robot via a USB and launch it via the mobile app with ease,? she said.

Fesarit said the Alpha 1 Pro is user-friendly and easy to control. With Bluetooth, she said it can be quickly connected to its mobile app. The app is available on iOS and Android directly through the smartphone and tablet.

She said Alpha 1 Pro has a community platform available on the application that allows a user to download online actions edited by UBTech or by any others users of Alpha in any part of the world.

Fesarit said Banbros is also ready to provide the needs for the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) curriculum through its Jimu Robot. It is an interactive robotic building block system that allows children to build, program, and share their robot creations.
