?Our vision is to bring first-world kind of living to each and every Filipino home,? said Globe at Home head Martha Sazon during a press event dubbed ?Unlocked.?

?With this vision, our commitment is to get two million more homes connected by 2020. When we say connection, it?s high-speed Internet connection.?

The event unlocked possibilities of home connectivity, especially for home-based workers, as it introduced Globe at Home?s Prepaid Home Wi-Fi, the first prepaid home Wi-Fi in the market.

?For the first time ever, Filipino families can connect with the Internet with 50% better Wi-Fi coverage than MyFi, easy installation and setup, and more importantly, there is no monthly service fee,? said Winsley Bangit, Globe?s head of acquisitions.

For P15, users can get 1 gigabyte of data for their home use. Bangit added that higher data allocations for those with higher connectivity requirements are also available.

Also introduced at the event was the Globe at Home App which eliminates the need to call the hotline number or to go to any Globe store for any concerns. Instead, the app allows users to reach Globe Telecom anytime even while they?re at home in order to monitor their usage and enjoy all the benefits available to them.

Meanwhile, Go Big Plans with no lock-up options thus freeing customers from monthly service fees and lock-up, was also presented to the media. At a trial price of P499 for the first three months, users can enjoy up to 50mbps speed and data allocations of up to 600 gigabytes.

Globe capped the presentations with the introduction of the Text Squad, a group of experts ready to assist Globe customers in transforming their houses into smart ones.

?Their service is end to end ? from installation to trouble shooting,? said Sazon. ?They help their customers optimize their Internet connection at their home.?

The highlight of ?Unlocked? however was the actual unlocking of the door to a virtual Globe at Home house. Also billed as the ?experience area,? the virtual house allowed guests to step inside and experience for themselves the ease and satisfaction one will have in a house with a modern style of living.

According to Sazon, first-world kind of living also includes the right gadgets that would power up their homes.

Among these gadgets are the Mi Box or Android TV Box which enables the television to make the leap to becoming an Android TV, and Air Ties which establishes Multi-AP Wi-Fi network to reach anywhere and connect everything wired or wireless in the home.
