Sky intros ?fiber-powered broadband? plans with video-on-demand

Lopez-owned cable provider Sky has launched its “One Sky” fiber-powered broadband plans bundled with video-on-demand services.

One Sky fiber-powered broadband plans are postpaid bundles that offer Internet speeds from 10Mbps to as high as 100Mbps as well as online access to ABS-CBN TV shows and channels on Sky On Demand.

?With Fiber-powered broadband technology ? the use of a combination of fiber optics and coaxial cables to deliver internet ? users can experience a fast internet connection at home while streaming shows and movies on Netflix, HBO Go, and Sky On Demand using any device,? Claudia Suarez, Sky?s head for consumer products business, said.

?This is Sky?s way to provide our subscribers with a richer content experience at home, while helping to accelerate the connection speed in the country,? she explained.

One Sky fiber-powered broadband plans are available with speeds as high as 100Mbps for P2,899/month (with 300GB data allowance).

Other plans include 50Mbps (P2,899/month unlimited plan; P1,899/month with 200 GB data allowance), 25Mbps (P1,899/month unlimited plan; P1,599/month with 150 GB data allowance), and 10Mbps (P1,299/month with 100 GB data allowance). All plans come with Sky On Demand.

One Sky subscribers who are also subscribed to Skycable or Destiny Cable plans that include HBO have the option to subscribe to HBO Go for P150/month.

Meanwhile, subscribers also have the option to subscribe to Netflix for as low as P370/month that will be charged via their Sky bill.

Select One Sky fiber-powered broadband plans are available in Metro Manila, Cavite, Laguna, Baguio, Bacolod, Cebu, Davao, Dumaguete, General Santos and Iloilo.
