Earlier in May, Miel Ondevilla, who teaches Literature at the Far Eastern University (FEU), chanced upon a very interesting sight when he was passing through the Raon area in Quiapo.
“It was a heap of garbage placed on the sidewalk in anticipation of the evening pickup,” he explained. “I think the cat was looking for food.”
Herein is the punchline of that image. A stray cat’s only source of food would be anything that’s thrown away or, if it’s lucky, a mouse.
So, the cat was searching for food (hopefully, a mouse) amid a heap of discarded computer keyboards. What are the odds of this happening? Thankfully, Ondevilla managed to capture the scene.
Here’s looking at you pussycat. May you find the mouse of your dreams.
