Dell PH lifts curtains on 2019 version of XPS 13 ultrabook

By Ram Christian Agustin

Computer maker Dell has introduced in the country the 2019 version of its Dell XPS 13 ultrabook.

The sparkling new machine features a top-mounted HD webcam that packs a 720p resolution. A minor tweak in the ultrabook’s form factor ensures the maximum effect of the unit’s InfinityEdge display and Dolby Vision.

“We are very excited with the updated design, cinematic experiences, and better performance that this new XPS will bring for them,” said Dell Philippines consumer head Jay Ranola. “We pride ourselves in always bringing the latest innovation to consumers and iterating when new advancements are made available.”

The webcam module is also paired with four units of microphones capable of recognition from a distance enhancing its ability to work with Cortana and Alexa even if the user is far away.

The Dell XPS 13 also retains the materials of the previous model — an anodized aluminum base and lid for its screen, while its keyboard deck is protected by a carbon fiber weave.

Powered by a quad-core 8th Gen Intel Core processor, the XPS 13 also packs some few nifty features like the Dell Mobile Connect, which bridges the gap of Android and iPhones and enables the users to interact and manage their mobile devices straight from the Windows 10 interface.

The Dell Power Manager can also come in handy where there are options to control the exact level the users prefer their ultrabook to be charged at before it automatically stops charging. There is also an optional fingerprint function for the power button which is quite responsive and is being the trend of laptops these days.

The XPS 13 laptop starts at P109,090 and is available in three color variants; Black and Silver, Rose Gold and White; and the Arctic White and Frost version which will be available next month.
