Computer manufacturer Lenovo has just extended its AI technology into the Yoga series, with four new laptops featuring Microsoft’s Copilot+ AI, to boost work and creativity output.
All laptops models have AI features integrated into the operating systems of the laptops, mainly for local PC operations.
The “Knowledge Assistant” feature allows the user to train the AI using user-selected personal files and data stored locally in the device or in the cloud. This allows for a more personalized and efficient AI-generated content (AIGC), and ensures no information leakage to the cloud.
The “PC Assistant” feature manages the computer by adjusting device configurations, optimizing it for specific tasks, or general usage.
The proprietary “Creator Zone,” is a collection of AI functions geared towards creative tasks. This includes AI image generation from plain text, or from uploaded reference sketch.
The Creator Zone is also capable of customizing AI-generated images with added elements, canvas adjustment, or pixel editing.
The Creator Zone also performs an automatic “Responsibility AI Checks” to ensure that the images generated do not violate any copyrights. It also follows industry best practices.
For office workers and students alike, the “Learning Zone” allows for efficient and stylish note-taking. The “AI Note” features real-time transcriptions, which could be summarized for easier recollection.
Templates are also available to polish and color-code notes, or add icons to it, for easier visual cues and easy management. The notes could then be shared and synced with other devices, through the “Smart Scanner,” applying changes made in one device to the others.
Lenovo also crafted the “Hero Experience” which is an AI platform, specific to the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition. It has “Smart Modes” which has 5 main functions, which involve a variety of tasks:
- Shield – recognizes people behind the user and automatically blurs the screen to avoid lurking.
- Attention – this mode silences notifications, and blocks distracting website, so the user could focus on a task.
- Collaboration – Perfect for online meetings, this mode calibrates the camera, automatically adds the users preferred background, launches auto-framing, and enhances the user’s image, even in low-light condition.
- Power – automatically changes the computers power profile to maximize battery life, whether being used, or while away.
- Wellness – notifies the user, at intervals, to correct the postyure and take a break. It also adjusts the light being emitted from the screen depending on how long the users have been using the laptop, to reduce eye strain.
The Hero Experience of the Aura Edition has “Smart Share” which allows the user to synchronize, share, and transfer files, by lightly tapping a smartphone to the side of the screen.
It also has the “Smart Care” which is an enhanced product support feature, which troubleshoots in real-time, easily identify problems, targeted software updates, and for a premium subscription, a live real-time human instant support.
Charlotte Koa, consumer business lead of Lenovo Philippines, expressed that the devices leverage AI to provide seamless and personalized experience, from enhancing productivity to enabling creativity.
