Acer enters air-conditioning market with Acerpure Chill launch

Acer has entered the air-conditioning market in the Philippines through its lifestyle brand Acerpure, marking the company’s first move into large home appliances with the launch of the Acerpure Chill line of window-type air conditioners.

The rollout signals Acer’s expansion beyond personal computers and small appliances, as it seeks a share of the country’s crowded but growing home-cooling market, driven by rising temperatures and electricity costs.

Acerpure Chill units are positioned around inverter technology and energy efficiency. The line uses a dual-inverter compressor system designed to cool rooms faster while consuming less power than conventional window-type units, according to the company.

The models also use R32 refrigerant, which has lower global warming potential compared with older refrigerants commonly used in air conditioners.

The units include corrosion-resistant hydrophilic-coated fins and a filter-clean indicator intended to help maintain performance over time.

Acerpure said the models use a top-discharge design to improve airflow efficiency and reduce operating noise — features typically seen in higher-end systems but less common in entry-level window units.

Acerpure Chill will be sold in multiple configurations ranging from 0.75 to 1.5 horsepower.

To support its market entry, Acerpure is offering introductory prices until Feb. 28, 2026, with prices starting at ₱13,499 — roughly half of the listed suggested retail prices for some models.

The new air conditioners will be available through Acer Concept Stores, major appliance retailers such as SM Appliance Center and Robinsons Appliance, and the brand’s online channels.
